About

Surviving The Gap helps people who are out of work, returning after a gap, or working out what comes next. We combine human support, practical learning, and tools that help people make use of their real experience with confidence.

About Surviving The Gap

The job market can be hard to navigate, stressful, and exhausting. A long job search can become a vicious circle: stress makes it harder to show up well; poor results then create more stress. We aim to interrupt that cycle.

  • Surviving The Gap for individuals

Creating pathways to income and contribution

Our aim is simple: provide a supportive place to think, learn, and act so people see the value in their own experience, build confidence, and take practical steps towards income, meaningful work, or another positive next step.

  • Surviving The Gap core workshops

Managing the stress of work, job seeking, and career change

We start with the person, not the gap: helping people build confidence and maintain their health and day-to-day life, especially when a career has been interrupted by redundancy, illness, caring, burnout, or a change in direction.

Meet the team

The inspiration for founding Surviving The Gap came from witnessing and experiencing the tough times many job seekers of all ages and skill levels are currently experiencing.

Collectively, we have years of experience with personal development, training in various self-help and support techniques, and experience as coaches and mentors to businesses and individuals. We have worked with some of the best facilitators in the world and travelled extensively to help deliver seminars.

Having experienced the same levels of stress in our job searches as everyone else, we feel well placed to do something to help others who are experiencing the same thing.
