Who is the workshop for?

If you are in work and looking to apply for a role somewhere else, between jobs, or returning to the workplace, this is for you.

Workshop outline

This, the first workshop in the series, looks at the stresses and emotions we experience while seeking work. The second workshop in the series looks at tips and techniques for managing these stresses and emotions.

  • Recognition of Emotions: We understand that being between jobs can be challenging. This workshop offers a safe space to start to acknowledge and manage the emotional aspects of your job search.
  • Consideration of Stress: Review the physical and emotional effects of stress and consider practical strategies to manage fight, flight, freeze, and fawn responses, enhancing your ability to think creatively and perform better.
  • Personal Reflection: Through individual, small, and general group exercises, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your current situation, identify challenges, and explore personal reactions. This reflection helps in building awareness and developing personalised coping strategies.
  • Practical Tools: We will introduce you to tools and techniques that you can use every day to enhance your awareness, self-care, and self-management.
