Surviving the Gap – Check In and General Catch-Up session
This month: Getting Organised For Your Job Search – a practical workshop to help you feel calmer and more in control of your job search, with simple structures, tools and habits you can start using straight away.
Tuesday 24th February • 19:00 UK time (UTC)
Getting Organised for Your Job Search is a practical, supportive workshop to help you feel less overwhelmed and more in control of your next steps. In a focused session, you will create a simple daily structure, learn how to timebox your job search, and build in breaks, movement and small moments of light relief so you can sustain your energy.
You will also get straightforward guidance on organising your CVs and applications, managing your email (without checking it every five minutes), and knowing where to look for roles and networks that fit your skills and direction. By the end, you will leave with clear short-term goals, a realistic plan for the next few months, and tools you can use straight away to keep going, even when motivation dips.
We will cover:
- Creating a simple daily structure for your job search that supports your wellbeing and reduces stress (including timeboxing, breaks, movement and light relief).
Basic self-care foundations that make a difference to your energy and focus, such as nutrition, hydration and managing your coffee intake. - Practical ways to organise your CVs, applications and notes so you can find what you need quickly and avoid doing the same work twice.
- How to tidy up and structure your email inbox and set healthier habits for when and how often you check it.
- Where to look for roles and useful networks, linked to your skills and the kinds of work you are interested in.
Setting realistic goals and putting simple systems in place so you can take small steps towards them every day.
